Day 1 Vancouver

On arrival transfer to your hotel for two nights.

Day 2 Vancouver

Today experience Grouse Mountain Skyride (included) and Capilano Suspension Bridge (included) at your own pace. Be sure to see such sights as Chinatown, historical Gastown, the markets of Granville Island, and the famous shopping district of Robson Street.

Day 3 Vancouver to Ashcroft – Sundance Guest Ranch (350 kms/217 miles)

Pick up your rental car from downtown Vancouver and drive along the Sea to Sky Highway to Whistler. Highlights along the way include the cascading Shannon falls. Continue on the Duffey Lake Road where you will see breathtaking views of the Joffey Glacier. Two nights Sundance Guest Ranch (all meals included from dinner on Day 3 to breakfast on Day 5).

Day 4 Sundance Guest Ranch

Located in British Columbia’s high country, with magnificent scenery and clear fresh air – a genuine bit of the Old West. A choice of horses is available from chestnuts, sorrels, bays and pintos to appaloosas – from gentle trail horses to frisky mounts!

Day 5 Ashcroft to Clearwater area ( 242 kms/150 miles)

Today return back to Highway 97 following what was once the old Caribou Wagon Road to 100 Mile House. Then on to Highway 24, originally used by the Shuswap people as a trade route, renowned for its many lakes dotted along the highway. Two nights Alpine Meadows Resort (One bedroom Alpine Chalet). Continental breakfast included.

Day 6 Wells Gray Provincial Park

Today at leisure to explore the wilderness of Wells Gray Provincial Park. See the park’s mineral springs, serene lakes, dormant volcanoes and rushing waterfalls. Not to be missed are the towering Helmcken Falls near the entrance to the park.

Day 7 Wells Gray Provincial Park to Jasper (318 kms/198 miles)

Set out for Jasper along the scenic Yellowhead Highway and take in the breathtaking vistas of the steep walled gorges and falls of the North Thompson River. Perhaps you will get a glimpse of Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. Enter Alberta from British Columbia and Jasper National Park. Two  nights Pyramid Lake Lodge.

Day 8 Jasper

Explore this charming mountain village close to many terrific scenic highlights. Perhaps take a tram ride up Whistlers Mountain, or visit Maligne Lake, one of the most photographed lakes in the world.

Day 9 Jasper to Banff

Your scenic drive today takes you through the spine of the Canadian Rockies. Along the amazing Icefields Parkway you’re sure to be enthralled by the scenery, wildlife, incredible blue lakes and sparkling waterfalls. Don’t miss the Columbia Icefield Visitor Centre and a ride onto the Athabasca Glacier via the Ice Explorer (included). Two nights Banff.

Day 10 Banff

Take a full day to explore Banff and area. In the town site you’ll find lots of shopping, cafes and museums. Check out the Cave and Basin National Historic Site, birthplace of Banff National Park. Take the eight minute ride up the Banff Gondola (included) and savour the incredible panoramic view, and then perhaps take a dip in the hot mineral pools at the newly-renovated Upper Hot Springs.

Day 11 Banff to Waterton Park (375 kms/2303miles)

Travel south to Head-Smashed-in-Buffalo-Jump. Designated as a Unesco World Heritage Site in 1981, the site has been used continuously by aboriginal peoples of the plains for over 5,500 years and is one of the world's oldest, largest and best preserved buffalo jumps known to exist. Continue south to Cardston where the Remongton Carriage Museum is located - North America's largest museum of horse-drawn transportation.From Cardston it's a short 45 minute drive to Waterton Lakes National Park. This beautiful park is a nature enthusiast and photographer's paradise.

Day 13 Waterton National Park to Cranbrook (259 kms/160 miles)

Highway # 6 north from Waterton Lakes will take you to Pincher Creek and the Kotenai Brown Pioneer Village – a turn of the 19th century historic village. Be sure to stop at the Frank Slide Interpretative Centre in the Crowsnest Pass where visitors can discover stories of the slide that destroyed the town of Frank, and explore ruins and displays related to the original coal mining industry, once the lifeblood of the valley. Day 14 Cranbrook to Nelson (232kms/144 miles)

On the way into Nelson today take a short detour over to Harrop to experience the Harrop Proctor Gable Ferry. Surrounded by the Selkirk Mountains, set on the shores of Kootenay Lake and clustered with some 350 heritage buildings, Nelson’s storybook charm and stunning scenery create the quintessential small town setting. Perhaps enjoy an evening cruise on the SS Moyie paddle wheeler

Day 15 Nelson

Day to enjoy the attractions of Nelson.

Day 16 Nelson to Osoyoos (261kms/162 miles)

Today continue travelling west towards Osoyoos. Osoyoos is Canada’s only desert town, with a unique interpretative centre to experience this phenomenon. With expanses of orchards and vineyards, lake swimming and boating, this area has everything a visitor could want. Two nights Spirit Ridge Vineyard Resort.

Day 17 Osoyoos

Today make time for a lunch stop at Nk’Mip Cellars – North America’s first aboriginal owned and operated winery. Also a must is Nk’Mip Heritage Cultural Centre where you will be immersed in the Okanagan First nation’s habitation, with on site tours of a traditional village and performing arts theatre.

Day 18 Osoyoos to Manning Provincial Park (169 kms/105 miles)

Leaving the southern desert area of BC, today travel in to the mountainous interior of southern British Columbia and Manning Provincial Park. Perhaps go on one of the many hiking trails. Overnight Manning Park Resort.

Day 19 Manning Provincial Park to Vancouver (230 kms/142 miles)

Today return to Vancouver along the Hope – Princeton highway past Hope Slide and through the fertile farmland of the Fraser Valley. Along the way you can step back in time at Kilby Historic Store, where costumed staff introduce you to an original Fraser Valley family. The Fraser winds along to Mission where you can visit Westminster Abbey, a working monastery pen to visitors. Or perhaps enjoy a wet fun stop at the Transcanada Waterslides located close to Bridal falls on Highway#1. Two nights Century Plaza Hotel and Spa.

Day 20 Vancouver

The day is yours to discover the coastal city of Vancouver.

Day 21 Depart Vancouver

Return your rental car at the airport and check in for your return flight.
