Western Golf Tour (14 nights)
This tour covers a lot of ground and is only for the enthusiast who wants to play a round of golf each day; 12 rounds in 15 days. The tour concentrates on getting to great courses!
Extra days may be added, to break up the journey, anywhere along the itinerary, with or without extra tee times.
Day 1 Vancouver
Arrive Vancouver and be met by guide at airport. Transfer to Hotel. Free time in the evening. Three nights Burnaby Radisson Hotel.
Day 2 Vancouver
Head out to Morgan Creek Golf Course, for a 10am tee off. This is a 6786yd Championship course with huge 25,000 sq ft club house. This afternoon, after your round, perhaps drive into Vancouver, to explore the downtown city including China Town, Stanley Park and the Lions Gate Bridge.
Day 3 Vancouver
Today have a 10am tee off at Northview Golf & Country Club. This course was the only one to be chosen for the PGA’s Air Canada Championship; the Ridge course at 7101yds, has the infamous 9th hole; 460yds from tee to green.
Day 4 Vancouver to Victoria
Head across to Richmond and the Tsawwassen Ferry; 9am ferry crossing to Schwartz Bay and Victoria. Check in to hotel in time to relax before tee off at 2pm; Morningstar Golf Club. Enjoy exploring the inner harbour tonight. Overnight Royal Scott Hotel Victoria.
Day 5 – Victoria to Qualicum Beach
This morning perhaps take a whalewatching boat trip from Victoria Harbour, or visit the Royal BC Museum. Drive north to Qualicum Beach. Tee time here is at 3.30pm at the Pheasant Glen Golf Course. Overnight Qualicum College Inn.
Day 6 – Qualicum Beach to Crown Isle
Drive north again today to Courtnay - a small town near Comox with a big course, 72 par. This Crowne Isle Golf Club course has no less than 68 bunkers, 7024yds, and has a tremendous club house. Tee time is at 1.30pm. Overnight Crown Isle.
Day 7 – Crown Isle to Whistler
This morning leave Vancouver Island today and catch the ferry from Nanaimo to Horseshoe Bay, and then take the Sea to Sky Highway to Whistler. Check in to the hotel and relax ready for the 2.30pm tee time at the Chateau Whistler Golf and Country Club. This course is set in spectacular surroundings with a full 7001yd championship layout. Overnight Delta Village Suites or Whistler Village Suites.
Day 8 – Whistler to Kamloops
Leave Whistler today to travel over the Coast Mountain Range. Drive on to Lillooet, stopping to look at the Hat Creek Ranch along the way. Continue on to Kamloops. Check into hotel and head on to the Sun Rivers Golf Course. Tee time is 2.30pm. Spend the rest of the day in this arid savannah area. Dinner and overnight Plaza Heritage Hotel, Kamloops.
Day 9 Kamloops to Salmon Arm
Drive to Salmon Arm from Kamloops along the Shuswap Lakeshore. Here there is the Salmon Arm Golf Club, rated in the top 60 for Canada. Overnight Prestige Inn Hotel Salmon Arm Inn.
Day 10 Salmon Arm to Banff
Early start today to head out east to Golden, Revelstoke and on to Banff. Stop en route in Yoho Park, Lake Louise and the southern part of the Icefields Parkway. Today take a break from golf to see the awesome grandeur of the Rockies. Three nights High Country Inn.
Day 11 Banff
10am tee time on the Banff Springs Golf Course at the Banff Springs Hotel. This is a world famous course nestled between great mountain peaks and home to many elk….watch for them on the greens. Afternoon is free time, or sightsee and explore Banff and Lake Louise area.
Day 12 Banff
This afternoon enjoy the challenge of Silvertip Golf Course at Canmore. This course is rated in the top three in the world for its technicals and slopes. Today we play the Silvertip course at Canmore.
Day 13 Banff – Kananaskis Ranch
This morning take a brief excursion out east to Kananaskis country. Here you should see an abundance of wildlife. Spend two nights here with rounds on the two courses of Mount Kidd and Mt Lorette. 2 pm tee. Two nights Kananaskis Delta Lodge, or similar.
Day 14 Kananaskis Ranch
Tee time 10am. Rest of the day at leisure.
Depart Kananaskis for Calgary Airport.
